Celebrating art glass, life and love, Jo Ann Pastori, owner/glass artist Benefits of Creativity: Of course I would like you to take any of my Creativity Celebrations because you get to make your own beautiful glass and actually see it melt from sharp pointy pieces into beautiful, intense glass with the tension of a drop of water. It’s natural, colorful and best of all - it’s made by you, not some stranger in China. To be more creative gives you all sorts of benefits. It reduces stress, thereby improving health. It makes you smarter by exercising your brain. It increases your self confidence and who knows where you will go from there. I’m sure you can think of even more benefits and there’s one more that I want to mention. It creates a more balanced life. It is fun and creates more openings in your life for your own time and your own fun whatever that might be. It’s no surprise that I think making glass art helps you to grab onto your creativity, which grabs onto your strength and ends up connecting you to all your blessings. The following is the Saturday Scheduled Workshops for 2011: July 23rd - 1 to 5 pm - Pendant and zen life spiral August 20th - 1 to 5 pm - Pendant and 3 pocket or word blessings tack or full fused September 17th - 1 to 5 pm - Pendant and kiln carved sun catcher in fall theme October 15th - 1 to 5 pm - Pendant and 3 pocket or word blessings tack or full fused November 12th - 1 to 5 pm - Pendant and Thankful plate (6” by 6”.) December 10th - 1 to 5 pm - Pendant and Christmas votive (pot melt blanks) My Creativity workshops are designed for you to open up your creativity and spend time with new friends and old. You can create personalized gifts, learn something new and fun and share “ an event” with them. Creativity Celebrations for October, 2011 Date: Saturday, October 15th, 2011 Time: 1:00pm to 5:00pm Cost: $50.00 Location: 8957 Diamondback Drive, Santee, CA 92071 In October, we  will be making and fusing a pendant and 3 pocket or word blessings tack or full fused. For your pendant, you pick your glass, colors and design elements. The focus will be on shapes, creating foreground and background by cutting out shapes in fiber paper and allowing the glass to melt over the cut out shapes. You can watch the pendant melt in the kiln, and at the end of the workshop, it will be ready to take home with you. Pendants It should be a powerful experience in determining who you are, who you want to be and how you want your life to blossom. The cost of $50.00 covers snacks/light dinner, pre-cut glass (to include the more expensive dichroic (reflective glass)) and materials, and kiln firing. What to Wear: Comfortable cotton clothes and closed-toed shoes to protect you from kiln heat and glass.
