Mission statement for A Hot Glass Act:
(Mission statement PDF Version)

Glass is a gift to the Human Race. It protects us, beautifies us, helps us to see better and eat better. It projects a reverance in us and a connection to a larger reality.
My mission is to create art that reflects HOPE, FAITH, JOY, ABUNDANCE, and the greatest of all-LOVE, in a broken world. My hope in my art is to add beauty, smiles and appreciation, to the lives of those who take it home with them. I believe all good art takes us out of the ordinary and touches our soul which causes it to strengthen reflect and soar.

My formal education is in Archaeology and Anthropology and some of that is reflected in my glass. Even more so, is my life experiences and desire to make a connection between the world and the sacred.

I am a member of the Art Glass Association of Southern Californis, Glass Art Society, and the Precious Metal Clay Connection. I am a studio artist at Spanish Village in Balboa Park, San Diego, Ca, at studio's 23 and 25.

I accept commissions and trophy contracts and give demos and talks to various club, and art groups. I give workshops, "Creativity Celebrations" at my studio in Santee. www.ahotglassact.com

With Gratitude, Celebrating Art Glass, Life and Love,

Jo Ann Pastori, owner/glass artist

Benefits of Creativity:

Of course I would like you to take any of my Creativity Celebrations because you get
to make your own beautiful glass and actually see it melt from sharp pointy pieces
into beautiful, intense glass with the tension of a drop of water. It’s natural,
colorful and best of all - it’s made by you, not some stranger in China.

To be more creative gives you all sorts of benefits. It reduces stress, thereby
improving health. It makes you smarter by exercising your brain. It increases
your self confidence and who knows where you will go from there. I’m sure you
can think of even more benefits and there’s one more that I want to mention.
It creates a more balanced life. It is fun and creates more openings in your
life for your own time and your own fun whatever that might be.

It’s no surprise that I think making glass art helps you to grab onto your creativity,
which grabs onto your strength and ends up connecting you to all your blessings. If
you are in the area, come join us for a Creativity Celebration.
